Description | Urethritis in men is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases. Recently, it has been suggested that various pathogenic microorganisms such as Mycoplasma genitalium and Ureaplasma urealyticum are causative agents of non-chlamydial nongonococcal urethritis. M. genitalium is also linked to several inflammatory reproductive tract syndromes in women. |
